      Hi,
names Dean,I live in Dublin and I work as a fultime composer for TV/Film/Media.I’ve worked on many 26 & 52 part series,Shorts/Doc’s etc and I’m interested in scoring for games so far I’ve worked on I or 2 small mod’s.

Is anyone here working on any game mods that require a score?
I’ve composed in many styles from Orchestral/ Electronic /Ethnic using the latest Hardware/Software and Sample Libraries around

I always check in from time to time but have’nt noticed any mods, pitches going on so I decided to just ask.

      Hi Dave,
      thanks alot.
it would be great to see a few more mods going on here,I just can’t find them?
I’ve worked for TV/Film since 2000 but with Games you have to start over with credits,..so I’m trying to make a bit of noise.
      What do you do yourself?

      Talk to you soon,
      Dean.

Even harder still is to find mod projects that have some money behind them and actually get completed so your hard work sees the light of day.

A guy named puzl just made a post saying he is working on a mod. Might be worth seeing how they are set for audio? Or try some of the mod focused sites – just google around the names of games with mod communities – quake, unreal, half-life etc. Maybe try quake.ie

I am in the mobile end of things. I am skilled enough to make audio effects and have even dabbled with midi at various times over the years but not at all good enough at that (I should have learnt piano rather than guitar I guess).

Hi dean… I’ve read this thread… just didn’t get time to listen to your sounds or reply.. but I’ve done so today.. the music is very good. I like the March to Metzada and Overworld… they’re all very good, those two are my favorite. Great to see you’ve set up your own studio too.. hope you do well.. already stated, I’m sure you’ll get plenty of projects

No probs Dean. Perhaps you should let people know when you compose a new track in this thread .. more eyes likely to see new posts on front page. That being said I am sure your post will result in work as your profile on GD.ie shows up 4th on google.ie for ( game audio composer ) so that can’t hurt. And now that I wrote that you will shortly be listed twice  . These threads get very good Google positioning. Best of luck.
