Having ‘perused’ numerous suposed Irish broadband sites over the last few days, I find myself exasparated. I need a decent connection that can handle X-Box live and Wii online, that’s reasonably priced, low contention (is 24:1 to high for online gaming?) and is as unintrusive as possible (i.e. no knocking holes through walls or trailing wires, it’s not my house). And I just need the broadband, not digital telly or a phoneline.

    Does such a thing exist?

The most important (and indeed stalkerish) question you need to answer is, where do you live? That will completely dictate what service you can receive.
