    some pretty fringe points, and less and less relevant, but some may find interesting.

    instancing in sm2.0 is certainly novel. the whole issue reminds me of Tomas Vykruta’s (D3D MVP) talk at GCAP, (Multi-Threaded Rendering for Games), where various driver/vendor hacks (like threaded rendering using D3D9) were discussed.
