So you might have seen this on various networks but I just want to put it out there on these boards too. The last survey they did is pretty old but it was useful none the less.

In partnership with academic and industry researchers, the IGDA has launched a survey to learn more about what it is like to work in the game industry or in game-related industries. This survey builds on previous Quality of Life surveys, Diversity surveys and demographics surveys and gathers important information that can be used to support and improve the industry.

Please take the time to complete this survey. It is important for the IGDA to have as many participants as possible to get a complete picture of what it is like to work in the game industry.

Please feel free to share this link far and wide. The survey is in English, but it is meant to capture experiences around the world. Also we are interested in hearing from students, and people who do game-related work even if they are not strictly a game developer in an established studio. So, indies, freelancers, the self-employed, people who work in game related journalism, academics who work in game design, etc. etc. There are questions in the survey for everyone.
