Autodesk are allegedly considering dropping Softimage. Here’s the petition to save it. (dunno if we have any Soft users out there?)

I thought it was a done deal?

Also the last bit of your sentence says it all :D

    Its a Maya/Max/Blender world

I dunno if it’s a done deal yet. I’ve heard reports Autodesk have no plans to axe Softimage at all. It is really a Max/ Maya/ Blender world now though. That’s true. I do think Autodesks monopoly on 3d software will result in less innovation out there. But thankfully we have Blender and ZBrush (which they can’t buy) to help keep them on their toes.

It’s gone, the only roll back from Autodesk has been to allow users to keep their licenses after the shutdown in 2016

    Shame that.
