I was just checking the first semester module dates for tests, and seen this:
Ashby Cafeteria / 22 Jan 1430 / CSC342 Computer Gaming / 2.0 hrs / 27
I checked the resources and courses section of this site and there’s no mention of Queens, and I never knew about it either, because I don’t think there’s a course on computer games. This might be a module in a multimedia course but its the first I heard, just thought you might like to know in case there’s a course that’s been overlooked.
PS the 27 on the end is the number of candidates.

I don’t think Queen’s have a multimedia course. I presume it’s something to do with computer science, though I didn’t think they touched gaming at all. May as well ask their tutor to find out.

i agree, i would be suprised if queens started a gaming course, because because jordanstown i doing one in the future, and queens and jordanstown courses tend not to over lap

Jordanstowns Multimedia course will be using our 3D car level content next semester ( Jan to July ), so there’ll be a bit of gaming content ( albiet focused on modelling, rather than gaming ).
I think Queens do have a multimedia course, I’m not sure what exactly it involves though.

It took a while to find it’s queens page http://www.cs.qub.ac.uk/CSC342 but finally found it, plus seen this:
This module is only available to students following the pathways for BSC Web Technology, BSc Creative Multimedia and BA General Studies
It’s not a games course, thought there had been something going on here this whole time without me knowing. Might go to the lectures next year if they are at different times than mine.
