Well the very first Hologram 10 TV’s or 3D TV’s are all ready working in very basic forms so I would expect to see that hit the mass market. Virtual realty head sets will most likely be the standard within the next gen or so of consoles.[/quote:8ef93d20a3]
The VR thing seems to have been a bit of a failure but also remember reading about "Augmented reality" where there is a mix of reality with an overlay of graphics / info (kind of like fighter pilots have now) Would give a whole new edge to paint ball :) Also could have a benefit outside games in areas like surgery (i.e. surgeon would have glasses displaying real-time information about the patients vitals, etc
This may be a little off the point but that VR post reminded me of this :)
