S2 Games have made Savage 2 free.
Simply download, install, (no spyware or usual rubbish), and play. No sign-up, activation, or any other messing.
As for the game, it is the follow-up to the pretty successful "Savage" which had a much-touted melee combat system.
I’d describe it as 85% RPG, 15% FPS.
You can LAN it up until your blue in the face. If you want to play online, well, that’s where you have to shell out some cash.
Still. It is a well polished, fun-packed game.
