We have been informed that IGAI/Games Ireland will be organising a half day event in Dublin on the 15th of Feb. starting after lunch.
The event will have a number of panels and some well known international speakers.
Details are being confirmed and the event is aimed at game companies, indies and students of games.
Should know more details early next week.

Great. I hear they are planning an industry ‘one to one’ networking opportunity (like game connection in GDC) for indie game developers/startups with the larger companies.

Fantastic Event!
Well done to all who attended and a big thanks to the organizers and sponsors.
For those that couldn’t make it. Boy you missed out :D
Recap:
*Theres plenty of opportunity for funding to get off the ground and find sources of income other than traditional sales.
*Aphra had a nice verbal Jab at TD Paschal Donohughe…….Ok maybe not but it felt like she stuck it to him.
*There has never been a better time to be a student or graduate as the potential of some of the startups is staggering and the groups interested are small enough to network.
*There is so much potential for Irish games.Today was a brilliant success. I imagine everyones still out "networking" tonight and might have some sore heads in the morning. Its great to think that a few years down the line, this could be Irelands E3.
Cant wait for next year! :D

Edit:Also, 2 quotes from the night.
"That’s Limerick City!!!"
&
"Thieving little Gypsy"

I’m raging that missed this! Things just didn’t tally up with the work schedule as I had hoped. Some of my students went, all reports are that it was a fantastic, highly informative event.
