Howdy,
I don’t if many of you watched the PS4 reveal last night but probably the most promising aspect of it was Sony’s commitment to helping indie devs get to grips with its newest console. While the details were still vague, one theme permeating throughout the 2 hour presentation was how they have moved to standard hardware after the issues with the Cell processor, the are fully engaging Developers throughout the developer process and how much easier it should be to get to grips with.
Looks like a promising machine for development on, it has x86 architecture, powerful graphics card and 8GB of RAM, a massive step up from the 512MB the PS3 currently has.
The creator of Braid, Jonathan Blow, showed his new project The Witness on it and it was pretty impressive!
