Got put on to an upcoming game called "Trine."

      Trine: http://trine-thegame.com/site/

The trailer looks great, it reminds of of WIK (if anyone knows of it.)

The gameplay looks like somewhere between LittleBigPlanet and D&D (maybe Black and White?) or a little bit of the old school hack n slash (Gauntlet – awesome), or some Golden-Axe slashing.

Good ‘ol Thrine, I saw the trailer for this literally the day after we came back from the Dare interviews where we were told there wasn’t really a market for a action/platformer with a strong swinging mechanics set in a 2.5D fantasy world on XBLA/PC.

That being said, definitely looking forward to giving it a whirl.

Well that’s possibly not fair on them, I believe their exact words were "not innovative enough" and "basically LittleBigPlanet meets Spiderman". Said comments were, however, based solely on the fact that it was 2.5D and had that strong swinging mechanic which put it directly up against the former title.

Possibly arguing semantics there but lets just say when I saw the Trine video there was a certain bit of hands being thrown up in the air and loud sighing. :D
