InactiveIndeed I am. First week over and, as expected, I’m loving it. The attitude of the lecturers really is totally different than what I’m used to and the course content seems bang up to date and extremely interesting.
What are you studying over here krudd?

InactiveLondon(the night-club there) was a sure-fire cert every night going out there, lots of free booze for Uni students. The student union pub is always quite good.
That was last year though, may have changed since.Couple of questions.
What have they done with the game design and development course – i.e. who’s teaching/mentoring it?
Have they changed over the PS2 course to PSP? Knew that Henry Fortuna was messing with them last year but didn’t know if they’d have enough time to come up with a solid course.Just starting to get a little nippy over there now I’d reckon :)

InactiveHaven’t been to London yet but have been to a few other places including the Union and a couple of great venues for live music. Prices are quiet remarkable too, especially when compared to Dublin. :)
Course wise, Game Design And Development is being taught by Euan Dempster who is also the course co-ordinator this year.
The PS2 kits are still in place as far as I am aware. Henry did talk about the PSP kits but I’m not sure if they’re going to be concentrated on this year.
That seems to be the only area where the course isn’t bang up to date but given the usefulness of 360s and the lack of availability of PS3s it’s understandable at least. -

InactiveGood luck with the course, Krudd. Abertay is a strong university to have on your CV. You might even learn a thing or two along the way!
Yeah I’m finishing off my BSc Computing here! It’s a grand course except for the project management module!! … I’m just not a business man at all!

Give me a shout if you want a few tips for doing that module. I’m finishing up a business management degree so maybe I can point you in the right direction. :) -

InactiveEd did i see you now work at Beautiful Studios? So going to be working on the next iteration of Championship Manager? Nice work, you mentioned in the past you wanted to work on a football management title.
G’luck with the job, they’ve got a wealth of experience down there. -

InactiveYeah Peter I just got a job there last week after doing a few interviews with them, Junior Programmer. They’ve spanking new offices that they rave about in Wimbledon so that sounds good. Looking forward to it, is very much a dream job for me so hopefully will work out! Their release is coming out soon so I’d imagine they’re fairly busy now :D
