About as surprising as Assassin’s Creed coming to the X360 and about as relevant as Sony’s "exclusive" Unreal Tournament 3.Irrational are making an offical announcement about something in November but it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if it was going to be this for a Spring release date at the earliest.
Regarding the games release in general though, w00t! :)

Source?
I know that a Bioshock "surprise announcement" is happening on Sunday evening, which is rumoured to be a PS3 version of the game, but I think it’s only rumours so far

InactiveFrom what I’ve heard of this game so far, it’s a better story and experience than half life and half life 2, it’s meant to totally nail the shooting too.
I have this pre-ordered…can’t wait!!!

Woah thats a bold statement right there! I really really hope it is that good, but I’m not going to go buying into hype that gets my hopes THAT high.

InactiveI know! I was listening to the 1up yours podacst and 2 of them had finished review builds of it, they said it is amazing.
Apparently, if you just blast through it and don’t deviate from the main story (which they say is really hard to do) it takes 12 – 15 hours to finish.
And if you do everything it’s 40+ hours.

btw incase your interest
How to play hard mode in the bioshock demo
When you start the demo you will notice that you can not select the "Hard" mode, but there is a way to work round it.
Before starting the demo, go to your gamer profile in the dashboard and then change your default game settings. Go to general, then change your difficulty to hard.
Now when you start the demo, hard should be highlighted when you have the option to select your difficulty. Don’t move the cursor or you will not be able to select hard again, unless you go back (B).[/quote:488ce1c637]

Inactive10/10 from eurogamer
"BioShock is the ultimate rarity: not only does it live up to its lofty promise, but exceeds it through simple, old fashioned talent and imagination – not to mention verve, style, class, wit, and sheer bloody-minded ambition. It takes the tired, worn-out FPS genre by the scruff of the neck, reinvents and bend it out of shape in such a breathtaking fashion that it’s going to take something very special to top this in the months and years ahead. For a game to be so outstanding in one department is one thing – to manage to tick every single box from graphics to audio to gameplay depth to atmosphere and innovation is pretty much unprecedented"

Obviously I should be glad I don’t read it from your statement.
It speaks to the quality of the game that people have played it enough to find un-obvious bugs in it. -
