It could be a case of game over for draughts – scientists say the ancient board game has finally been solved.A Canadian team has created a computer program that can win or draw any game, no matter who the opponent is.

think i heard this guy speak at a ai conference on games in essex about 2 years ago. That cs dept has a very famous game theory group, some of the guys at the 4C research group in u.c.c. i think worked with them on stuff over the years. That’d be the research group i studied with.
