I’m trying to push on and make some progress on a game I’m making, but sometimes it can be hard building up any momentum when working from home; living and working in the same space, everything can just blur together!

So I figure it might be useful to get out of the house to get some work done and perhaps make use of hot desking at a coworking space.

      Anyone have any experiences, recommendations?

It would probably be nice to be around other game devs too, but there doesn’t seem to be that much in the way of choice. :)

Depends on where you’re based, but I can definitely recommend the hot-desking on offer at the Synergy Centre in I.T. Tallaght. http://www.synergycentre.ie/

Also, the Guinness Enterprise Centre has shared office space http://www.gec.ie/shared-office-space
I have been involved in both and being in the same environment as other like-minded start-ups is invaluable and highly recommended.

      Thanks.

I’m coming from the northside, so tallaght would be a bit far. I’ll have a look at the GEC. Another one I had been thinking about is amworks.

Although I mightn’t be getting any work done as my laptop started acting up yesterday, so I’ll have to sort that out.
