      Question.

Why is there only demos for some of the games on the site? Were they all not functional at the end of the 10 weeks??

Just downloading rule of thumbs entry, its looks cool. Sounds from the description they were targetting the jak and daxter\rachet and clank genre. Good genre..

Looking forward to it downloading and giving it a whirl.

Also I noticed on the Enduring Fragments website that one of their programmers Yuan Yeo worked on Halo 3 for xbox360. Thats a pretty impressive thing to see on the c.v. doubt he’ll have problems getting work within the industry.

Yeah that reminded me that I downloaded it a while ago and never checked it out!!! Just did now and it’s too hard!!! I should just have to walk to the other side of the room and then I win by default! …. yes I suck at games!

Pretty damn cool though! The goop just makes me think of the good bits of flubber (i.e. none with Robin Williams)

They usually ask you to give them an exe to put up on the website. Its up to the teams to supply it. If its not there, its probably because a team was lazy and didn’t give it to them.

Hi! I was team lead for CodeMonkeys. I can’t speak for the rest of the teams but the reason we don’t have an executable of Join Us! is that it’s a multiplayer game so it’s a bit messier because it can only run with a client/server network in place. With ten weeks the focus was on getting the game working on our own machines, which were used to demonstrate the game at the final presentation. At the moment it’s not in a suitable state to be in a handy single-player, stand-alone exe. We are working on a single player version, mainly for our own portfolios.

All functional? yes, free of bugs? no
