InactiveI would say buy.
Care to share the name of the respectable online shop?

InactiveNot bothered about ‘winner’ – I’ve been dreamcast’ed before, soo… :D
I think I’m fairly at peace, in my own mind, that I’ll prefer a DS to a PSP – also at peace that I’ll probably fork out the ‘official’ (RRP) asking price.
I’m just trying to lay some pre-purchase jitters to rest, shamelessly calling on my good Forumite friends to do the job, and making sure I’m not being ‘shafted’ in the process of acquiring the darn thing.

InactiveI doubt youy will be able to get hold of one even if they say they have it.
All the people I know who pre-ordered have not received it and they have tried japan and US.
Apparently the Japanese demand is for 2million units with only 1 million available.

InactiveHi Steph,
I contacted Lee by email and checked with him re availability and games. I may have pissed him off with my emails checking details but hopefully not.
Anyway, I placed a ‘pre-order’ so I will let you know what happens.

InactiveYeah, someone had that in here yesterday.

InactiveWell, it’s done.
They did have a couple and one of them is in transit to me as of today. Also managed to get Mario 64 DS with it.
Sorry Steph if this gives you a “Damn I should have” feeling.

InactiveShhhht – not so loud ;) – “I see dead avatars” :D
Simple deduction, my Dear Watson, just had a look at the timeline of your order and compared with past known performance (I did post that I’d done business with them before and found them to be trustworthy).

Inactiveconverted into GBP from what? from where? Is there a USD or YEN MSRP yet? Or ( ) is there a pre-order list somewhere at that price (one of these pyramid websity-things)?

InactiveI remember it was announced a good while ago,
From Lik-Sang:
“The base system, model number PSP-1000, will retail for 20,790 yen and will include the system, AC adapter and battery pack. This will convert to a US$ price of around US$ 200 to US$ 230 for the import version…”
Also as EDGE pointed out – consider all the other crap you’ll may have to buy with it (memory, cases, battery pack….)

InactiveFirst impression out of the box…..
Not sure that it will handle the abuse that my kids give my GBA SP.

InactiveHey aduggan… Surprise & contentment after all, as Santa was very unexpectedly extra-nice to me (Thanks to my ever-resourceful Bro’) ;) . RRDS is cool, but I’d have preferred SM64 DS :(
Now let’s see what you industry pros can do with the wee marvel!
Happy New Year to you all, gals & guys! Onto the next shindig-ely, then…
