Hi, Brian from Enduring Fragments here. Just posting a few links to some pics of the environments I’ve been working on as promised before. There’s more to come, plus there should be some stuff going up on our website too. We’re at the end of Week 9 now and it’s getting closer and closer to the big day at the end of this.

Great looking screen grabs.. looks like everything is starting to pull together now.. love the mist.. will there be any ripples in the waterier areas.. that would be very effective. Whats being used for the shadow maps? I think a few shadows around the table and chairs in the apartment would work very well.

Well the lights in Unreal are so damn cool that it does all the shadows for you. The particular shot of the apartment isn’t actually a great one for the shadows but you’ll see the lighting at its best when you see the game running.
The water does ripple, yes, but we might need to remove that for performance reasons. We’re still hoping that that isn’t the case.
Deadline is Wednesday night. Judging is Thursday.

ahh.. I see, yes.. I can imagine the Unreal engine will have great lighting.. maybe the ripple effect could be an option in the settings..
