Very nice work!!! Can’t wait to see it textured / painted.

It would be cool to see some more sculpts based on the old celtic legends and associated creatures. On this subject, there has been much talk about making a game based around Irish mythology – with the iPhone providing a fairly low cost to market ( and allows for small games at a small cost / low resources required to play in terms of time ), something like a simple adventure style game would be an interesting project to attempt.

Mal, your comments reminded me of a blog entry I read on 10 minute game pitches based on Irish Mythological themes. I started a new thread with the details.

      Thanks mal! appreciated

Oh I forgot to say the fairy is the Fear Dearg, which just means red man, I plan to bring the red into the texturing stage.

I think it would be a great idea for a game or movie or comic to be based on Irish mythology, there is like 1300 years of literary history there to use.

Cheers thanks man! Ya zbrush is great artistic tool no doubt, though in many ways its still far behind traditional sculptural mediums.

Hey dark, yes I did try zbrush 3.5, in fact these models were made in it. I havent tried the major update with the z-spheres yet, but overall 3.5 seems to work alot faster and has some nice snazzy bits added.

Thanks for the request for an update! I dont normally get that other than from close friends, so its appreciated. I am afraid though I havent tried yet, been busy trying to handpaint textures with polypaint and mess with lighting of late, they are here if you fancy a looksy:

Now that I played with handpainting a bit ill sit down and try to see what i can do with the fairies…. tho pretty busy atm so might be a while! thanks again
