Gabe Newell on PC Gaming "problems"

Valve’s Gabe has an article up on Gamasutra talking about the "poor perception" of the PC.

I don’t want to start the PC vs. Console debate [again], I just think its pretty bad when a quad-core, with 4GB Ram, and dual 8800GTS lag when playing Crysis!

I guess DirectX10 is a step in the right direction to "harmonise" the platform, but for now, there’s a long way to go.

As for the piracy issue, I think as more consoles are shipping with hard drives, and network cards, piracy will flourish, and possibly overtake that on the PC.
