I haven’t got it yet, but it looks pretty interesting. Has anyone picked up a copy yet?

InactiveHmm, the text makes it sound more like game modders magazine but I’ll definitely pick up a copy and try it out.
They had better reccomend Blitz Basic.

InactiveHeh, SEUCK was great.
Seriously though, I hope the magazine is more than an FPS modification mag.
There’s definitely a gap for a home game maker’s mag, along the lines of Computer Music and Computer Arts, as the serious developer magazines are far too techy.

InactiveHey Guys,
I just picked up a copy of the mag the other day. The dvd comes with 5gb worth of compressed goodness! Theyve thrown in a tonne of freeware engines for you to mess around with.
My fav is actually a text adventure creater. Its simple yet effective. It helps build up your story and narritive skills. Its only limited by your imagination.
Also, it comes withe the full half-life sdk source code, and level editior so you can build your own mods( most of ya’s prob already have it anyways!)
On the side, if you are into GTA: Vice City, it comes with a package that lets you change EVERYTHING about the city, from the cars look and speed to the buildings and skins. On a whole, its worth a look for 10 euro, there is defo some useful stuff in there.
Just a thought!

InactiveHeh, SEUCK was great.
[/quote:137c356847]I remeber we used SEUCK as a sprite editor and animtor mostly. First of a kind though.
Hi all, by the way! Can’t believe I overlooked this site.

Hello.
Is it my imagination or did Sensible Software actually create SEUCK?

InactiveYup, Sensible Software way back in 1987. It was bundled with my Commodore 64 “Light Fantastic” pack, which still works actually if you turn the power transformer upside down!

InactiveI remember first using SEUCK and thinking how clever the idea of using ‘windows’ to group menus together was!

InactiveI remember I could never get the darn thing to save my masterpiece. So I’d leave the computer on for as long as possible so everyone could see my flying killer toasters….

InactiveI remember swapping taped games in school, one time I swapped a lad my home made SEUCK game for his “The Last Ninja 2” which he hadn’t even played yet!! Of course he was led to believe that the vertically scrolling shoot em up on the tape I gave him was “better than Armalyte” and not some shit I had knocked up some Wednesday evening. Imagine his disappointment when he got home! Those were the days, swapping tapes with your mates that had maybe thirty games on them and legit ones for like 3 quid.

InactiveAnyone know where this magazine can be purchased?
Anyone remember the text adventure editor that used to be available for the Speccy?

InactiveCan’t remember the name of the text editor, but I remember having fun with ‘The Graphic Adventure Creator’, which you can get here here, along with an spectrum emulator.

InactiveHi there,
yes the ‘Graphic Adventure Creator’ was a great package, also available on the Commodore 64. Some games created with it were even published (Winter Wonderland at least if my memory deserves well, and a few other ones).
Boadle, I just know about one other package available only on the Speccy which was called ‘The Quill’. Later, this company (can’t remember their name), released ‘The Patch’, which enhanced your creation possibilities, and in the end they offered a global package, letting you add some graphics to your adventures.
This was ‘The Quill, The Patch, The Illustrator’. Is this the one you think about ? -

Where did you pick up a copy? I checked in both Easons & Reads and neither of them had it.
