As discussed at the last shindig it looks like there is an opportunity to have a games industry speaker speaking at next year’s Dublin film festival – 18th-28th of Feb.

If you have suggestions of suitable speakers who might be able to
      1. speak to a general media/film audience as well as a games one
      2. is relatively well known
      3. has some connection to films (maybe?)
      4. to not too expensive…

      post them here….

The prolific Uwe Boll was mentioned on the night I think. Not really games industry though.

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uwe_Boll

"Boll is best-known for adapting video games into movies, having directed and produced a number of such adaptations, including House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, Alone in the Dark II, BloodRayne, BloodRayne II: Deliverance, In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, Postal and now the latest film Far Cry. Boll intends to produce a third movie based on the BloodRayne franchise."
