InactiveIs anyone traveling to GDC this year?
Anyone made plans yet? I am looking for good cheap hotels in San Fran at the moment.

InactiveLikely there’ll be a Torc contingent, Alan. We’ll have to find a replacement for the Fairmont lobby ASAP!!

InactiveGuys, anyone looking to book accomodation should check out http://www.hostelworld.com… Hostels in the US are more like budget hotels – bed & breakfast, maybe internet access and little other frills – but a fraction of the price of the more mainstream hotels
Once you’ve done your initial search, widen the search paramters in the nav bar by also selecting ‘budget hotels’… brings up even more baragains – most of these places are within a 15 – 20 min walk of the Moscone Convention Centre and prices start at about $20 per person per night for a single private with en suite bathroom as opposed to the $180 per person per night in the hotels listed on the GDC website

Behind that innocent comment I’m sure there’s much seething jealously towards him. ;)ok folks, we’re off to Dublin tonight to catch the morning flight to San Fran (getting over early to work on our tans)

Have fun. I don’t think trying to impress the booth babes by turning into a burnt lobster will work I’m afraid. :(Any chance that we’ll see a article on it from yourself when you get back, Tony? It would be good to see how the Irish companies did and everything else in general.

Inactive:D is that you doing the reporting Dave?[/quote:9b04cb2e01] actually, it’s the intrepid Ian Hannigan who’ll be doing this year’s reporting duties… if we can keep him out of the bars long enough, that is
p.s. it’s approx. 64 degrees Far. over here at the mo… not to gloat or anything
