That guy from value may bitch and moan about ps3 but you can be sure half life will be released for it. Too much revenue to be missed there, whether the console is lame in his opinion.

Maybe not if there are 300K units sitting on shelves out of the 1M units delivered to retail. The cost plus hassle may not be worth it…especially if MS were to make them an offer…

Those 300k I suspect will start to ship once MGS4 and a few other exclusives make it out. At present there isnt the games to make you purchase it, only really one new game; MS. RR is just a port of the 360 version which is essential a supped up port of RR on PSP. Resistence is just call of duty and IMHO isnt as good but i havent played it for very long.
As for GT HD I can see why its free, I wouldnt pay for it. Same as GT4 and I gotta say the graphics arent all I was expecting; for example the sky boxes of the alps in it look total ass. They look totally outta place with the 3d environment, it just ruins the illusion.
Also some of the spectators behaviour is strange as hell, some are wandering about and a more often than not some are like they are frozen in place, not an inch of movement. Also most of the characters legs clip the grass. (but maybe ive become overly critical with my time within the games industry). But then again if your paying 40-50 quid for a game why shouldnt it be as close to perfect as possible.As for whether its profitable for Valve to release to PS3 I would say in the long run it probably is because alot of their licensee’s will want Source Engine running on PS3 so if they gotta port it for them, why wouldnt they cash in and port Half life or any of their other titles in development to PS3.

Really?? Dead Rising is OK but I wouldn’t put it in the same league as Gears of War. Fun in small doses but some missions bore quickly.

The irony of this is that Ireland used to (still has?) the highest penetration of Playstation consoles in Europe. I do not see this helping that statistic much.

Still, even though theres calamity after calamity with it i can’t see it doing too badly once a few great games get released.
