InactiveThank you all for the kind words and encouragement.
I realised that I had forgotten to include contact details for anyone interested! Doh! Blame it on the jet lag.
If you are interested in one of these positions, please send your CV and any supporting materials to jobs@nephin.com.
Thanks,
Alan -

InactiveHi All,
Unfortunately, the response to our job openings hasn’t been as good as we hoped from the Irish community.
We will be taking the search abroad soon so if you had been thinking about it but didn’t get around to getting in touch, now is the time.
Regards,
Alan -

InactiveSorry to hear that Alan, and very suprised also. I would have expected a good response to be quite honest.
Maybe pixel artists are few and far between, but I would have anticipated a good response for the designer position. Maybe people are just unsure of what the position of a designer entails and what the requirements are?
Are you looking for people with games design experience, and/or are you considering people with project management experience. I think that sometimes people can be put off applying for something that they are unsure about. What I’m bascially asking is what are the upper and lower thresholds for this position, regarding experience and requirements? -

InactiveI think there alot of Irish dev people who unfortunately are not on our gd.ie boards :(
I’m not qualified for the ‘Games Designer/Producer’ role :p
This is something I wanted to bring up…but I couldn’t come up with a solution to getting them here.

We are looking for someone with commercial experience as a Game Designer or Game Producer or both. That experience can be on any platform but obviously it would be an advantage to have worked with constrained and/or connected devices.

That may be true. Hopefully, we might catch some Irish fish when we spread the net further afield.

InactiveJust to let you guys know, TKO are currently looking for 2 mobile game programmers. I will organise an ad in the jobs section shortly but basically we’re looking for programmers with J2ME experience. I appreciate that these are scarce in Ireland given that I’m the only Irish engineer in TKO :)
Anyway, just wanted to spread the word. We’re working on some really exciting projects at the moment. We’ve just completed a big project that’s due for release alongside a Hollywood movie in the next couple of months.
If you feel you’ve got the experience and skills contact us!!

InactiveOriginally posted by Nooptical Where is the console love though….. ;) [/quote:7154bfbc02] apart from Kapooki you mean??
Torc will also be looking to port the Instinct Engine to Xbox and Xbox 2 soon
and of course, all of this ignores the fact that both Havok & Demonware have console versions of their products… n’est ce pas?
