Speaking of trailers, seen the Resistance 2 teaser? If so what do you reckon?

Resistance teaser…not that impressed for a 2nd PS3 game from the company. And probably a pre-rendered cutscene so could’ve should’ve looked prettier.

I’m not so sure its prerendered, the depth of field used certainly looks of a higher standard than the current real-time stuff, but then it doesn’t seem up to the quality of recent pre-rendered efforts, like Killzone 2, Motorstorm 2 etc.

It looks alright. Not that great that it "must" be pre-rendered. The water looks and cloth (U.S. flag lower left) seem live.
Apart from a hefty bit of shadows, nothing too taxing in there for a CELL to handle.
If you check out the second farthest away ship on the right hand side (about 2.30, 3pm) you might see *what looks like* some z-fighting going on, towards the front of the ship guns protruding from the front of it. But I guess a clever artist could bake that in, if they wanted to deliberately mislead…

Eurogamer have confirmed it as fake and given that they’ve played it I’m going to go with them.
As for the Resistance 2 trailer, am I missing something or does the entire thing just look pre-rendered? Not one aspect of it appears to be real time whether it’s the explosions in the city in the background, the giant ships overhead, the action on the bridge to the left or the number of smaller ships buzzing around. :?

Doesnt matter if its prerendered or not imo, its just to set a tone and show some plot points
