InactiveAny fans?
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/23504.html
I think I play Madden 06 more than any other xbox game I have, I didn’t bother get 07 as there weren’t really any major improvements but 08 looks like it could be good…have to get my hands on a 360 at the same time though:P
I know they spent a lot of time working on the IK and their animation technology but the running animations look stiffer this time IMO, very straight-backed / a bit too upright.
And I hope the "weapon system" (never thought I’d hear that in reference to a sports game!) doesn’t end up like the freestyle superstar thing in the NBA Live games that started in 06.

InactiveAnyone see the X360 versus PS3 video of Madden? Just after watching it there and frankly I’m shocked at the difference. Sure you can blame the fact that they’ve had the PS3 dev kits for shorter length of time but seriously, there have been other ports which were just fine on the PS3 so it can’t be used to justify every problem.

InactiveI saw that video last night, I was pretty stunned to see such a difference.
IIRC there’s a problem with the PS3 and one / two other sports games, I think either NBA Live or the latest NBA 2k8 (?) have serious frame rate issues during certain sections of game play.

InactiveIt’s been a few years since I last bought a Madden game. It certainly looks like the graphics have improved greatly with the next-gen changeover. The gameplay also looks a lot more fluid. It may just be worth investing in.
Any news on whether it’ll feature the now defunct NFL Europa/Europe?

InactiveIs the difference between 30fps and 60fps really that different in a sports game that also only has a few seconds of play each time?
I know EA said that it’s the same in all it’s other American sports games coming this August and September (except fifa 08, although soccer doesn’t count as an American sport!) but really is it such a problem?
There’s a simple reason that they are developing 2 years plus for the xbox 360 and the ps3 is logically going to have not as many developers being used to the format. Just wait until next year to decide.
