InactiveAs seems the custom around here, I can finally announce Prototype, the title we’ve been working on. Having seen the game and loved it, Game Informer got the world exclusive announcement, and in return we got the coveted cover story of their E3 issue. At 3 million subscribers, that’s no mean feat!
More as it comes in…

InactiveMy, how cynical of you :?
I wouldn’t know about that, all I know is that every magazine who’s seen the game so far has raved about it, so expect more cover articles in the future! -

InactiveMissed the magazine but hot from Eurogamer this morning…
It puts you in the shoes of science experiment Alex Mercer, who ended up with super human abilities and now spends his time wandering around killing people. Justifiably angry, you might say.
AdvertisementWith every person he kills, he absorbs their abilities, memories and appearance. The more he absorbs, the more powerful, knowledgeable and skilful he becomes – making him able to morph his body into a weapon or highly effective shield.
The action is third-person and free-roaming, much like Crackdown or Grand Theft Auto, and it will be up to you how you want to proceed throughout Manhattan – stealthily or punchily.
Online co-operative play for two of you is planned, each with your own version of Mercer, and you’ll be able to combine special moves in tag-team-like manoeuvres.
The game is due out on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2008, and Vivendi label Sierra expects more information to filter through soon[/quote:856e835e79]
Sounds kind of like a violent version of Evolva from a few years back. Really enjoyed that game with all its oddness so hopefully you guys at Radical can pull off this darker incarnation. :)

InactiveGame Informer is only officially on shelves tomorrow, so you’ll still have a chance to have a look at the cover story (that was offered to us, not paid for!). There have been articles on Gamespot, IGN and plenty of other sites too, and you can expect lots more coverage in the next month…
