Anybody saw RTE prime time dedicated to children & violent VGs?

I’ve seen on RTE’s website that it was last night, but my Ambulance player won’t play their ‘smil’ files

      Anything good said?

(and no, aphra, sorry – I didn’t get the chance to contact them for participation, too much to do if I want to enjoy my pints with you lot Friday night with a clear conscience;) ).

      Wtf, why use ‘smil’ files?

I cannot play it either, I’ve mailed RTE for a different format – not going to hold me breath :(

:o – must admit to not having previously known what ‘smil’ files were until I ran into the RTE ones, then Google’d it. Let us know if RTE get back to you.

Just in case anyone missed my post on the IGDA section, you can watch the video by downloading the Real Player. :)

      Oohoohooh – quaking in boots (;) )

Interestingly (and to be cross-ref’d with other threads about the topic), I was at that Wireless Wednesday last night, topic was “Delivering Mobile Multimedia & Gaming Solutions”, and Gavin Henrik (Opera Telecom) changed his presentation at the last minute from “Interactive Multimedia & Gaming Solutions” to a more topical “Mobile content rating and application testing” after watching Prime Time. (mostly about MCPE and addressing problem of diversity of platforms).

The Nokia “Business Development Manager” presence was essentially a sales rep pushing the QD – boy did he get some stick! :D

I would presume it to be the Nokia guy. After all they do have their name at the top of every page on the site! ;)

No worries, aphra… Though by the way of all recent ‘QD’ things, he’ll soon be knocking on doors to get the money back :D
