      Hi all,
I just uploaded my first unity demo/ prototype.

All of the models and coding was done by me xD I used C# for the scripting.

      ———————————————————————————-

      Souls: The Prototype
      https://www.dropbox.com/s/iuioydp05i27k5h/Souls%20The%20Prototype.rar

      ———————————————————————————-

The aim of the game is to navigate your way through obstacles and puzzles. You might have to raise a platform up with
your mouse or move it left or right or even rotate in.

      ———————————————————————————-

The controls are very similar to other platformer games.

      CONTROLS:

      A- Move left
      D- Move right

      Escape – Pause menu

      Space – Jump

Right/Left mouse buttons – interact with objects (platforms, stairs, blocks…ect)

      ————————————————————————————

Nice one! Some feedback. Hope it doesn’t sound too negative because I really admire the work :)

The jump is weird and floaty. I can change direction mid jump

Too much stuff in the foreground \ the foreground stuff is too large.

Make the platforms\wooden boards twice as wide; its doesn’t seem to be a precision platform game (?)

When I got to the buzz saw it was a bit messy, camera probs; the foreground bush the spikes. etc..I couldn’t really see that well. After the saw I think I’m meant to pull out some boards to create a path back the way I came, but the platforms dont seem to want to move. I stopped there after click and pulling on objects like a madman.

Red lights on objects: at first I thought this was to show I could interact with objects, but the red lights are on lots of non interactive objects…confusing. Or I’m just stupid.

      Thanks for the reply.

Ill make sure to fix all of them in my next game.
Ya i think i put to many red lights around the place. Ill fix the platforms and make the jumping smoother.

      Hey Aidan.
I played the game. Great prototype. I can definitely see what your goal is with this.

Few issues. As mentioned before the foreground stuff. There was times when jumping when the foreground stuff impeded your view of the platforms your landing on. This adds to the difficulty but not in a good way. This happens on the bridge you raise out of the water and the platform before the spikes.

Second thing is I couldn’t finish it. I got to the far right hand side after the rotating saw. Clicked the platform that was supposed to move and it didn’t. I watched your video and I was doing it right so I went back and tried again and it still didn’t work.

Other than those 2 issues this is looking good. Cant wait to play future builds.
