These seem pretty insane, even for the Unreal Engine 3. :?

      # OS: Windows XP SP2 / Vista
      # CPU: Dual Core Processor
      # RAM: 2 GB RAM
      # Video: Nvidia 7800 or higher / ATI x1300 or higher
      # Disk space: 15 GB[/quote:27ab856389]

The graphics card one seems fairly suspect as the Nvidia card is far superior to the ATi card but still, 15GB of Hard Disk space? 2GB RAM minimum?

The only thing that surprises me there is the disk space.

Though I suppose I am more thinking recommended then minimum.

But remember this is through Vista. I notice whenever a game is run through vista, the RAM goes up an increment to what it would be on XP (if the game runs both; in which case it doesn’t seem to).

This is pretty worrying anyway…so 4 gigs is the new ‘safe amount’. Pretty crazy. Looks like it’ll be a while till I buy a PC, there’s a big shift happening in specs and I wanna see what they settle at before shelling out.

Funny that you’d mention that actually. Anandtech ran a feature a few weeks ago measuring game preformance between XP and Vista and came up with some pretty shocking results…
      [code:1:da01552d80]
Supreme Commander Address Space Usage – (GeForce 8800GTX, 768MB)
Game Start Replay Start Replay End
      Windows Vista 562MB 1.21GB 1.95GB
      Windows XP 116MB 930MB 1.44GB[/code:1:da01552d80]

So Vista really is using far more memory, not exactly unexpected but still something to bear in mind when system building around the new OS.

Basically it’s a badly optimised port.
They’re lead skus are on the 360/PS3. Just looking to cream a little extra with a PC port.

      Yes, it has multiplayer.
I wonder how good it would be though, ‘Tequila Time’ in multiplayer might get old fast..
