Yeah, that’s true. But isn’t it sad that this is what passes as a proper gaming history article?
I wish more people spend time considering gamings past and rich history rather than constantly driving towards some unknown and ill-defined future.
Not that there’s anything wrong with aiming for the future of course but it annoys that gaming tends to be particularly disparaging of its past.
And I’ve spent more time over the summer playing emulated amiga Speedball 2 on my laptop than I have with any next-gen console which must prove something is incorrect about the old “games date quickly” adage.
Perhaps I should write a proper post about this.
