      Super-duper-ultra-mega fast broadband

75 year old woman, has Worlds fastest home Broadband connection at 40Gbps[/quote:a1d330fd8b]

Now, whether this is for real or not, I can’t help but wonder when this kind of technology is to become "default package" material.

Will games or software be that big in content that we need such speed to download them using 40gb lines? If so, will it be a time where 3D holographic displays are common furniture in our homes? Or, will we be "jacked in" for a super "jack off" in hyper virtual reality interwebs?

Place your bets and forecasts here, if you will.

First I want to say hello to everyone because I’m new here. I’m from Poland so sorry for my poor english.

I think that we will get such quick connections much qicker than games and software will require it. So before 3d holographic displays and virtual reality we will get perfect quality movies and other media streamed to our houses with such ultra-mega-fast-broadband. It is a future of serious internet television :D.

      Hi Stoyan :)

I think most people in Ireland would be happy with 4 MB’s let alone 40GB !

      :D

I would be happy with 40 kbps on my Irish ‘Broadband’ line :)

Even though stuff is going to download very fast for her a lot also depends on the server its coming from.

i think i’ve even seen it do 56Kbps once or twice…
maybe i just get a better reception.
