Hello. As its a new year and time to get organised wondering are any programmers using software that presents your tasks for the day, the time allocated, time overrun with task insertion & switching etc. If so whats it called.

In the past my time sheets were all paper driven and used something like tracs for tasks.

In gmail under Settings/Labs/ there is an option called tasks.
      easy to use.

There is a full standalone application on http://www.codeproject.com/ which is a bit more comprehensive.

I personally am still using a whiteboard.

I’ve never found anything that I was happy with.
The most useful thing I used has been the Vista post-it notes.

Outlook, as much as it can bring a machine to a grinding halt, has a calendar (amongst a million other things), that can be shared across a team.

I’ve used that in the past to manage a team’s daily/weekly tasks. You can send out email reminders (which, admittedly, get annoying after a while), about meetings, scheduled deliverables, etc.

I had a look on SourceForge, CodeProject, and the usual sources, and nothing jumped out.

There is always MS Project, (which can, again, be way overkill), but it doesn’t really support an agile cycle (at least not the version I have).

      B.
