Hello all,
im a design student doing a thesis on ‘The evolution of the title sequence’.
I have concluded that the title sequence has an evolutionary path in the games industry rather than the progression within the film industry. In that vein i wished to talk to someone within the irish games scene about this.
This means just asking what kind of thought goes into the titles of the games and such.I have looked at Kyle Coopers titles of Darkwatch and some other games he has done titles for like metal gear 2.
Anyway would anybody be able to point me in the direction of someone who could spare 10 minutes to answer a few of my questions whether face to face or either i email the questions to them.
Can anybody help, i would appreciate it?

Depending on your time frame you may be able to interview some of the visiting companies at the XNA Ireland Challenge http://www.xna.ie on the 13th March. Not sure how many of the judges are involved in creating title sequence segments but there will be a press room. I suggest you write to the organising committee requesting an interview pass and give as much background as possible, what college your from, your project details, proof of copy process, your project supervisor etc. If the letter is endorsed by your project supervisor then that may give it a higher priority. Other than that I suggest you try to call some of the companies directly, best of luck.

a title sequence like as in movies title sequences the introduction with the movie name and actors, its about 2 minutes long and usually before the first act.
In games like metal gear solid 2 and 3 kyle cooper did the title design and also Darkwatch. -
