      Hey Guys,

Myself and a friend are developing a side-scrolling 2D platform game using C# and XNA.

Ive got a fairly good grasp of 2D Keyframe Animation, but im keep loosing track when searching for good tools to implement into a game of this nature.

Also, wondering about the possibilites of importing 3d animations onto a 2d stage, for characters etc..

Im an emtpy whiteboard in terms of this stuff, so please grab a marker if you have any ideas in this area.

      Thanks in advance all.

      thxn guys.

Downloading gale now, it looks quite good from the write ups ive just seen.

Im well used to flash at the moment, but are u telling me i can export flash anim’s and these can be exported into a game engine?

I guess my issue then is with the importing of graphics into the game rather than the creation of the graphics themselves.

I don’t think you can import flash anims into what you are planning to do, but I could be wrong, maybe someone else here who is more informed can answer this question for you.

What I was suggesting was to export your Flash animations as Gifs, PNG’s or BMP sequences or what ever format you decide/need to use.

This method enables you to have the freedom to animate using the flash environment and export the results into a usable format.

Have a look at Aliean Hominid. It was originally a flash game which they ported over to Playstation. It’ll give you a good indication of what Flash can do.
