      I’ll probably head across – esp. want to take a look at the Game Girl Initiative in Surrey. It would be good to encourage a more positive gender balance in the industry here as it grows..

      PS a project here in DCU asked male 15-17 year olds what was the difference between games aimed at men and women…ans included

      ‘women’s games are boring and crap’
      ‘the difference is a dance game and killing people’
      ‘one is more shoot em up, the girls are more mentally challenging’
      ‘violence’
      The men’s games are all guns and cars. Girl’s ones are designing stuff’

      and so it continues…

      I think the idea is the to have something for everyone instead of targeting either guys or girls.
