Im a programmer who is currently contracting for a games studio from home.
I can offer work experience for 1 month and maybe longer. Some of the work that I do would be suitable for someone who is Office proficient. All that is required is a PC with a Good Internet Connection. I will also provide other software.
For any interested students, I would wholly reccomend trying to get a position in a games studio over this. However if a you cant, this is not a bad step, especially if one day you wish to become a programmer. I have worked in a studio and it was a huge learning experience so that should be any students primary aim.
You will learn many things working with me and I would be able to help a student wishing to start/progress at programming. I can show you the tools that the industry uses. Ive got lots of college notes and Ive got great books to read. Ill also be available for advice and questions. Im not an artist or game designer but I know a little bit about those fields.
If interested, just leave a short reply and I will PM you. Please note that if you accept this position, you will have to sign an NDA. This will bind you from talking about the exact nature of the work, however you can mention the technologies you have used. I am willing to talk to the selected candidates’ school/parent about the work etc…
