Hi all
I am going to do a bit of pruning of companies as we are getting a lot of interest from composers and musicians but some seem more suited to the profiles section than to the companies section. It seems fairer if all individual composers/musicians are listed under profiles.
I will be contacting the four or so in the companies list in the next day or two about where to put their entries. Two of our four music/sound entries are also in the profiles section.
Can I also encourage people to update their profiles every now and again…some of them are very old!!

I hear where you are coming from….and memories of the focus on the prostitute in GTA come to mind.
I would have to see how it was handled in game…since I don’t usually trust metro for my news and they want my email address to view the e-edition!
but if they wanted attention… I guess they are going to get it.

I am all for experience and can see the value..
I just wonder what makes an internship different from work experience?
Internships used to have structured training built in and a basic wage.
This is not just in games…it is much wider..

gosh the last one we had was last October…I am travelling too much! then again we have had a lot of events since january so hard to fit in anything else

a good few academics books and papers have been written about this and in fact academics can’t agree on videogames/computer games or digital games.
however most do agree that the game element is crucial to a definition – looks for example at Jeper Juuls work.
‘interactive media’ is a bit like ‘new media’ – what is not included?
anyway if you are interested in the academic stuff I can provide a few references
