State of Play 2018

OVERVIEW
The State of Play is Ireland’s premier Independant Game Maker Event hosted by the School of Media in the Dublin Institute of Technology, in conjuntion with IMIRT, the Irish Game Makers association.
As usual we will have an exciting and ecclectic mix of Inspirational International & Irish Guest Speakers. We then follow it up with the ‘After Party’ which will take place once again on the Rooftop Bar in Odessa. The event will be preceeded by a free games EXPO with over 100 developers, students and industry professionals demonstrating their work.
We have two keynote International speakers this year, Tyler Sigman and Jean-François Gagné
Tyler is the Co-Founder and Design Director for Red Hook Studios, makers of Darkest Dungeon. He has designed over a dozen published videogames and boardgames, including Darkest Dungeon, the BAFTA-nominated turn-based “Age of Empires: the Age of Kings” (Nintendo DS), the twin-stick dragon shooter “HOARD” (PC, PS3), the boardgame “CROWS” and stuff like clunky old card games “Witch Hunt” and “Night of the Ill-Tempered Squirrel.”
Jean-Francois (Jeff) is a senior game desiger with DICE and his credit roll includes Senior Game Designer on Divinity Original Sin 2 and Senior World Designer for many of the Assassins Creed games inclduing, Syndicate, brotherhood & black flag.
