Games NI Meetup September 2019

RAPID PITCHES OF RAPID PROTOTYPES

The Pixel Mill, Belfast’s largest game development hub, recently participated in a development exercise entitled “Six Prototypes in Six Weeks” (supported by our good friends at NI Screen). The experiment was designed to give creative developers dedicated time to attempt new game ideas in short, intense bursts in the form of rapid prototypes.This month at our new location Cuckoo on the 11th of September, we’re going to hand the stage over to each of these companies to show us the fruits of their labours… in even shorter bursts! Under the clock, each company will have 6 minutes:

• 2 minutes to tell us about the 6-in-6 development experience – successes, failures, lessons learned
• 2 minutes to pitch their best game developed from the experience
• 2 minutes to tell us how they were received at Gamescom, receive applause, and make room for the next company!

Just to up the stakes, we’ll probably end with a “Most Likely To Succeed” applause-based vote.

Games NI is the association of Games Developers and Producers in Northern Ireland. We welcome members across all areas of game development, from artists and programmers to writers, designers and audio engineers.

Our mission is to create a collaborative network connecting NI companies and freelancers with other developers and publishers internationally.
