Introduction to VR Development with Unity – VR For Beginners!

Skill Boost is delighted to announce its first VR Course! This class will introduce developers to the skills required to build games & experiences in VR.

Learn to create immersive VR experiences using Unity, the engine powering VR hits like Beat Saber, Job Simulator, & Arizona Sunshine.

Starting from basic VR viewers, we’ll build up to a fully immersive game. The course is designed to be platform-agnostic, so you’ll be able to transfer your knowledge to Oculus, Index, & Vive headsets.

With clear examples and instruction, we’ll banish confusion and help you avoid the common potholes in the road to VR success!

Places are limited to 10 students and price per ticket is €150. Prior experience with Unity & C# is helpful, but not essential. Attendees will need to bring their own laptops, but headsets will be provided.

This course will cover:
* Setting up a Unity Project for VR
* Building for mobile devices
* Creating a 360° video player
* Using VR Controllers to interact with the world
* Building a simple game in VR
* VR UX tips and tricks for building comfortable experiences
