State of Play 2019
May 10 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm€ €5.85
To celebrate 10 years of the State of Play we have a special event planned for May 10th 2019! In 2018 we had our usual mix of keynote, experienced and innovative game maker talks and ideas. The night included a series of short cut talks, reflective pieces from the Irish game developer industry as well as our keynotes.
During the preceding afternoon, we will once again host an EXPO for developers, students, researchers, garage or aspiring game developers to showcase their work to their peers and the industry. We welcome all shapes and sizes! It is FREE!
It doesn’t end there, we will conclude with some gaming and craft beer revelry just across St. Stephens Green in Alfie Byrne’s on Earlsford terrace, Dublin 2.
An additional event will run on May 4th 2019 at 11am: a seminar on game-based learning. This seminar will provide a forum for interested parties in exchanging their methods, projects, best practice in the area of games.
Students, teachers, researchers, companies and hobbyists are encouraged to attend. It is an opportunity to present your work and get critical feedback along with networking opportunities with others in your field.
Digital and non-digital demos, prototypes and academic presentations at any stage of development are all welcome. If you have an interest in games and want to meet like-minded people, then this is a great event for you.
The contents of the event will be published on the state of play website.
