      2,500 jobs in the sector by end 2014

      There aren’t even 500 jobs in the video games industry in Ireland as is.

      Good people that can are leaving for west coast America (including Canada) or Germany and Scandinavia.

      The first thing they’ll need to stop is brain drain. Good luck with that at the moment.

      Any word about what this taskforce are up to? Have they started consulting with the industry?

      Thanks Aphra. I hope the Department give them their own page on the website or something, so that we can find out what they are doing. The govt.’s approach with other similar initiatives has been very ad hoc. Maybe they could even use gd.ie in some way!
