Our friends in the West have put together an amazing set of speakers for this year’s event.
FÍS Games Summit 2022 is the second annual event hosted by Galway Film Centre in association with Screen Ireland, and with the support of Romero Games, Creative Europe Media Desk Galway, Northern Ireland Screen, the WRAP Fund, and Imirt. The goal of the summit is to help foster growth and success in the Irish Games Development community by providing Developers on the island of Ireland with a unique opportunity to engage with talks and presentations that will help them in their own careers.

A presentation on Games Exhibition and the Green Games Guide with Michael French, Festival Director at the London Games Festival.

Discussing the new 32% Tax Credit with Chair Olivier Masclef and panelists Eibhlín Ni Mhunghaile of Creative Europe Media Desk, Rory Clifford of Northern Ireland Screen, and Brendan Dillon oImirt and Demonware.

2.15pm – 2.35pm

Colm Larkin joins us in conversation to talk about his company Gambrinous, their releases Guild of Dungeoneering and Cardpocalypse, and how they navigate the Irish Games industry.

2.50pm – 3.45pm

Hazel Kelly, Executive Producer, will be joined in conversation by Brenda Romero to talk about her position in the games industry and her journey there from starting in Galway just over ten years ago. Hazel has worked with some of the biggest names in gaming and her perspective will be invaluable to hear.

4.00pm – 5.00pm

Emil Pagliarulo, Lead Narrative Designer at Bethesda Games will be joined by Katie Gardner, Lead Narrative Designer at Romero Games, to have a look back at his career as a writer on some of the biggest and most impactful RPGs ever made. Having started working on Morrowind before moving on to Oblivion, Fallout 3, Skyrim, Fallout 4, and more, Emil has an impressive track record and we look forward to hearing from him.
