I thought that instead of posting an entirely new forum for this I’d use one that was already here related to the same topic (hope nobody minds).
My name is Niamh Loughran, and I’m currently studying Video Game and Interactive media development (DLO) in Ballyfermot College of Further education. I was wondering if any Irish gaming companies (preferably situated in the Dublin area) are looking for interns or if anybody would be kind enough to let me shadow for one day a week (preferably Saturday). I hope to one day become a game designer and am incredibly interested in what working as part of a game company is like, and would like to learn as much as possible about the industry. I greatly appreciate any replies!

Sat might not be the best day to choose. How is your timetable? What other days are possible?

You could join some of the game jams at weekends. The international game jam is happening at the end of the month – see the calendar.
