Bought Edge yesterday…there is a huge feature on Halo 2 in it for those interested. Haven’t had a chance to read it yet. From reading the editorial note at the start apparently there isn’t a lot about the game story there because Bungie really want the player to experience it fully in game rather than reading about it before hand, which is a nice touch. They also seem to be wanting to get a 11/10 rating for the game! Nice to see they are so optomistic :)

I got a chance to play it over in London, it’s going to be brilliant :)

EDGE looking at 11/10 possibility? Sacrilege! After all the ink that’s flown on the topic of EDGE review scores… They wanting to alienate yet more readership, or what?
I haven’t got mine yet [just moved over to Dublin, ‘had to cancel my subscription in UK :-( ], but looks like I’ll have to get my a** over to that bookshop in Liffey Center in a flash…

Erm, relax guy, it was just a joke on the cover. I think all they are trying to say is that Bungie are trying to outdo the original in every possible way.
This is going to be huge though, I can barely contain my excitement. Even I Love bloody Bees got me hopelessly addicted for a bit, and if one of its axons was in Ireland I’d be there.
Oh and Jamie by all accounts Bungie are considering suing GameStars Live for using the wrong build of the demo last week. A lot of people were surprised that they played Slayer and both teams spawned on the beach but supposedly it wasn’t the one that was meant to be used. All the other displays of that E3 build have been single capture the flag.

Talk about huge…
I had a vague idea that official H2 (promotional) merchandise already out was quite sought-after (it IS the next biggest thing, after all!)…
…but didn’t realise quite how much  until I looked at going prices for H2 calendars on eBay, since I ‘got one from the girlfriend of the guy who sold me his Impreza (she works for Microsoft promos in Leeds, UK).(I’ve kept the poster, naturally) :D

Well Bungie have it right, they’re building anticipation into fever pitch and nobody knows anything about the game outside of the video of the first(?) level that they showed of the invasion of Zanzibar, which is a year and a half old and looks amazing. The multiplayer plays well and the energy sword is great, I got pulled off out of the gunner seat of the warthog which was pretty cool, and stuff like fixed gun emplacements and destructible walls all made it really cool. It’s Halo still, but the multi-layer level was cool, it lead to some pretty brutal firefights in corridors. Can’t wait for the retail version to hit, the week it comes out will be a sick time methinks >:)
