      I was reading in a newspaper at the weekend that the MLE is looking for a 10 million euro handout.

      The article read that lack of commerciality was part of the reason. I know they have a department that designs some games ( MindGames ), but this was only a small part of their whole remit.

      Has anyone here worked in the media lab, or have any more info on whats going on with it?

      I thought it was a great idea to have something like this in Ireland ( especially with the link to MIT in Boston, and the close Irish ties to that city ), and am interested in how an innovative project like that could be in difficulties.

      I won’t say too much about them as John used to work there but I do know the government refused to give them any more money. It will be interesting to see where they go from here…
