      A couple of us from College are taking up on the idea of developing a small Demo, we’ve decided on Maelstrum as the name and are currently just messing around with ideas, a bit of constuctive critism would be appreciated. If it’s alright with the moderators I’ll just post a few things now and then to see what you guys think.

      As for the images, they dont give me any inspiration or lead me in any direction. 2 colour, no obvious genre tie ins, just doesnt do anything for me.

      2 Colours is just a personal favourism Skyclad, I always thought B@W had a more positive affect on a image, thats just my opinion though, and as for Genre’s?, well these images aren’t aimed at any their only concepts as to what kind of tone the demo might take, from serious(top) through to funny(bottom), but hey I did ask for constructive critisism so thanks for your reply and i’ll keep your comments in mind.

      I’m confused….
      Have you got the idea already and these are concept cover art to go with that idea. If so, whats the genre?
      I like the first image.
      Second one is very bland….nothing to catch the eye there.
      Third….doesn’t do anything for me either.

      But whether any of them would suit the idea….who knows.

      I kind like the idea of black and white but with a very small use of colour….sort of Schindler’s List style with the girl in the red dress.

      Guys you have to realise this is all experimentation, The genre we were aiming at is FPs with Horror, maybe with some comedy it’s all good. I’m sorry if the images are confusing but i did them up in a few hours just to see what came too mind. more refined ideas will come as our project is narrowed to a certain genre and or style. still keep the comments going, glad you like the first image(somewhat anyway) Omen.

      As an FPs / Horror, yes I think the first one works.
      3rd one…maybe the bottom half…top half just looks out of place to me.

      I don’t actually have the max file at present but it’s somewhere in the region of 1200, we still haven’t set a scale and or decided on s set poly count.

      The robot yes, 12000 I thought you were refering to the Gunship(posting to much, getting confused), well obviously we will want to reduce the poly count be we got a hold of a demo engine today, Quest. Don’t know if any of you guys have heard about it???
