The VMU should have been the way forward, ah…

i think the VMU could have been great if it was not so hard on battrys or it had rechargeable ones (that recharge in the controller). i only really used it one for playing a game, sky’s of arcadia. the mini game was a kid u met in a bar. once he joins you crew, he can do min quest in the vmu, and any treasure he find can be used in the main game, it was great. to great round the battery problem i attached to small lead to where the batterys sould go and connected them to 2 AAA batterys ;)

Sony can be laughable sometimes. From their attitude towards open technologies such as MP3(but yay, they’ve got MiniDisc!), MPEG4 etc to the fact that they take it upon themselves to create hardware they know relatively nothing about leading to problems(Emotion Engine anyone?). Although at least for the PS3 they are getting Nvidia to build their GPU.
They are like the Microsoft of the console world. Moreso than, er, Microsoft strangely enough…..

But Microsoft are in the console world so they can’t be like them ;)Although I did hear today that Bill Gates made a donation of $400 million to help with vaccinations in 3rd world countries. The largest donations ever made by an individual. Perhaps he’s not all bad….

Hehhe…Gamasutra print more of what they said.
http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=4859“There may be people that complain about its usability, but that’s something which users and game software developers will have to adapt to.”[/quote:611e3f3996]
Ummm…that really doesn’t sound good.
He further dismissed claims that the location of the button is a flaw in the design by saying “The position of the buttons was something we were aiming for. It’s not an error, but something we specifically strove to design that way.[/quote:611e3f3996]
They strove to design a flaw…great!!
I think we’ve created the most beautiful thing in the world. Nobody picks holes in the blueprints of a world-famous architect.”[/quote:611e3f3996]
I think he’s lost it…. -

Why do they bother “fixing” such a great “design feature”?
-
23/02/2005 at 9:52 am #17944AnonymousInactive
Well, its not proven that its “fixed”
it is unclear whether this fix completely addresses previous complaints concerning the responsiveness of the button [/quote:0da985a632]

Ahh….that eases my mind. The only reason I was going to buy the PSP was because of this fantastic feature.
